FROM DOUGLAS NIEDT

Douglas Niedt is a recording and concert artist with over 40 years of concert and teaching experience. He has been the head of the guitar program at the University of Missouri--Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance since 1976. Recognized for excellence by the National Endowment for The Arts, his early studies with diverse artists such as Segovia, Parkening, Yepes, Ghiglia, Morel and Pepe Romero produced a master teacher with unusual perception and openness to differing schools of instruction.

Doug enjoys working with students of ALL ages and levels. Classical guitar only. Students five years and older, and from beginner to concert artist level are welcome. All are treated with the same attention, care, and commitment.
